i have been driving on my partners insurance for the past 2 years, )however we have now broken up) prior to that held my own for over 25 years, will i have to start again to builf up my no claims bonus. thanks

Some insurers will allow you to build a NCD as a named driver... but it may only be valid if you then take out your own policy with them.

Company 'A' might not accept NDNCB gained from company 'B'.

Only way you'll know for sure ... pick up the phone.

Yes you will.

I had to build up mine again after being on my wife's insurance for 3 years even though I had over 30 years NCB.

NCB is usually accepted by insurance companies for up to 2 years after you have stopped being insured on your own policy.
