Updating RAC satnav

I'm having trouble updating my satnav for the first time. I've been onto www.66.com/rac, clicked download and clicked on 'driver for RAC410' and saved it to My Documents. It then creates a file (?) called ole2.bmp and when I click to open that it comes up with an empty View Picture screen and I can't get any further.
I've e-mailed the support line but have had no useful help, mainly because I don't think English is the person's first language!
Any clues, please?

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.Double-clicking the downloaded file only installs the driver, so that your computer will recognise your satnav when you connect it (via USB).
You need to follow the instructions here, then open up the Route 66 software (which you should already have installed onto your computer). That will check that the satnav is properly connected and then take you the Route 66 store, where updates are available for download:
