Two friends of mine from South of the border are concerned that if we vote Yes next month a) speaking Gaelic will be compulsory and b) Marks and Spencer will close all Scottish stores.
From what I've heard, the only significant cultural change will be that all children will be given compulsory lessons on trapping and skinning wild haggis.
If speaking Gaelic becomes compulsory then a putative future Scottish Education dept. will have its work cut out as 98% of people in Scotland don't know a single word of that language.
Salmond can't even speak English, never mind Gaelic. Johnston's of Elgin may lose one of their biggest customers if M and S migrate out of Scotland to Israel.
