It's a shame you weren't so worried when you were driving down that motorway.

no i havent got any other points. had three six yrs ago. but they are off now. itsjust that the letter says its a court summons. it doesnt mention anything about what kind of penaltie could be incurred. dreading having to go to court, if i have to. plus the county that caught me are about 100 hundred miles away from me. arrrgghhh. im so stupid!
Interesting Pagey - where do you get those guidelines from?
The bench book here

Has 21-30 mph over the limit in 60-70mph limit as 4 or 5 points or disqualify for up to 42 days.
It's dated April 05 - do you have a more up to date reference?
In any case debstra you're probably OK unless you have previous points.
Note if you've held a full license for less than 2 years and you rack up 6 points your license will be revoked and you'll have to retake your test.

hi mate i was caught doing 98 on the m4 buy the seven bridge and i got a sp50 and 5pts and a fine of 150 but sadly i think the law is at the judge's descrestion if you are within 5 mph of 100 they can ban you if they wish but i think that would be very unlikely unless it was tipping it down and it was not safe to drive at that speed
