What happens if no NIP is recieved for a speeding offence, only a summons 6 months later.

If you were stopped and reported for an offence by a police officer he/she would most likely have given you a verbal NIP.

If a speed camera etc. then a postal one is issued.The CPS will provide evidence that it was posted which is all the courts require.
