I have my driving test tomorrow and am not sure whether hitting the curb during a parallel park is classed as a major and thus a fail or would it jst be a minor depending on how the rest of the manover went?
thanks

It would be a minor fault if you just touched the kerb and went on to safely complete the maneuvour
As far as I know its minor just dont mount the curb as I dont think thats a minor!

Good luck

They are no longer classified as "minor" faults. They are "driver"faults and as the above said if it is just a touch and the exercise was completed safely it will be recoded as a driver fault.

Good luck with your test.

Thank you for all your answers i was panicking for nothing i did not do that maneuvour and i passed with only 1 minor and that was for my gears.

Thanks again
Now you've got your licence, go out and practice your parallel parking. Congratulations, now you really learn how to drive.
probably depends on your driving intructor more than anything.....if every thing else goes ok i would imagine you ll be alright.......... try not to stress out.
goodluck bob all the best
sigma - this is something that really annoys me. When you say to '' go out and practice your parrallel parking .... now you really learn how to drive ''. Diving instructors should teach people how to drive and not how to pass their test. That is one reason why there are so many bad drivers on the road. Another is that that many people forget what they have learnt as soon as they do pass their test. There should be an automatic re-test after 5 years and a mandatory re-test after every 10 years. That would be one way to cut down on the number of poor drivers. Rant over for now.
well they dont - most of them who pass are f u c kin clueless and shouldnt be on the road

Thanks for all your comments i passed the test now i will practice.
OSPREY i did not know Diving instructors taught you to drive, and DAVID no one asked for any bad language. Even now with some drivers who have been on the road for 40 years they are still learning
