WHAT CHARGES COULD BE BROUGHT?
6 Answers
I wonder if any of you could possibly help me with a problem a colleague of mine has? Her daughter let a couple of friends use her car late at night and the driver of the vehicle was killed in a head on collison. Another passenger, who was not wearing a seatbelt, seriously injured and a third person slightly injured. My colleagues daughter was not aware if the driver was insured to drive her car or not but is certain he would have taken the car even if she had said no. The driver was well known to the local constabulary as a miscreant. Could she face any charges in relation to the accident. The police have had no contact with her whatsoever since the accident, which I find quite strange. The police have kept a mobile phone belonging to one of the passengers which has a voicemail on it from my colleagues daughter demanding the return of the car prior to the accident. Sorry for the long question but detail is necessary, I think.

sorry for the late reply welshyorkie, sounds like the police have decided they had stolen the motor then,i don't think she can actually be charged with anything and the phone call wouldn't have had anything to do with the crash as obviously it went to voicemail so they hadn't answered it while driving ,hope everything is sorted out soon
