I cycle to work, but find a lot of people parked up over the green cycle lanes by the kerbs - is it illegal to park over them?

Double white lines where the line nearest you is solid. This means you MUST NOT cross or straddle it unless it is safe and you need to enter adjoining premises or a side road. You may cross the line if necessary to pass a stationary vehicle, or overtake a pedal cycle, horse or road maintenance vehicle, if they are travelling at 10mph or less.

lol your all mad no bikes dont have to pay tax because they dont have a engine powering them ripping the roads up .tax on roads came about after ww2 to help rebulid the roads they bomed but instead the mod got like the first 2 bill of tax payers money.any way most bike lanes are used in hours eg 7.30 am til 9 .30 am at this point no car should be parked or driving in them with a good reason but no copper is going to book em either for it.its like bus lanes hrs you need to stay out of them or you could get fined.i use to ride bikes all the time and you can get fined for riding on the path has i found out in kendal when 19 some years ago but was let off due to fact a big truck was coming up the road and i had moved on to the path to let the truck past other wise its a 30£ on the spot fine.
Hi Bozie69.
You're probably making a valid point, but I found your message difficult to read.
Please put a full stop at the end of a sentence, and after entering a full stop leave a space and start the next sentence with a capital letter.
Also, use paragraphs when necessary, this all helps to make the points you raised easier to read.
I was genuinely interested in your comments, but had to read it a couple of times before I got the gist of what you had written.
Please don't take offence - I look forward to reading other comments from you in future.
