Toyota is a world leader for quality and efficiency. They have been manufacturing cars for over 70 years and in that time have become the world’s largest automobile maker by sales. The company continually strives to improve the efficiency and reliability of its vehicles.

Car insurance customers keen to downsize in a bid to cut costs will find the new Toyota Aygo is "small but perfectly formed", it has been claimed. According to the manufacturer, the updated range builds on the strength of previous models. It stated: "The factors that have made the Aygo a winner have been further sharpened to make it an even stronger proposition."

Toyota pointed out the introduction of two new editions of the car – the Aygo Blue and Aygo Black. It explained the first has an exclusive equipment specification which concentrates on convenience and comfort, while the second focuses on style.

People who buy the Aygo Blue will receive air conditioning and Bluetooth connectivity as standard. Meanwhile, those who opt for the Aygo Black will find their model comes with leather upholstery and 14-inch alloy wheels.

As well as saving money on fuel, motorists downsizing to a smaller vehicle may also find the reduced engine size means they qualify for cheap car insurance.
