Porsche Cayman The Model For Everyman
Porsche is well known for its lead in the sports and recreational vehicle market. Their Cayman S model two seater was hugely popular when launched in 2005. However, their reputation as being highly priced also drives their customer base.
It seems that they are trying to reach the “everyman” market with their Cayman model. This is the toned down version of the Cayman S but it still has all the punch. The car will retail at around £36,000 and this will include the Porsche Driving Experience training. The design of the Cayman models is befitting of their distinctive, sporty character.
Porsche says that it will cover 0-60mph in 6.1 seconds and on to 160mph with peak torque of 201lb-per-foot between 4,600 and 6,000rpm. The Cayman loses 50bhp compared to the Cayman S but is still no slouch.
It will also return a respectable 30.4mpg. A five gear manual will be the default although a six-speed will be an option alongside 10mm-lowering active suspension. The mid-engine layout ensures a low centre of gravity and thus a high degree of agility and an extremely sporty drive.
Porsche prides itself on the excellent service and quality experience of its patrons. They offer personal support and individual expert advice to each and every customer.
