watchin bbc1 just now and its a rock programme about nirvana and curt cobain.
its interesting to hear one music journalist say curt cobain was the last great rock n roll star.
do you agree with this ???

Not at all!!!

Hes the last of the 27 club I believe, at the moment. He was introverted and amazing for his time. I'm not sure he would have developed. I dont get why because he shot himself this makesd him the last great rock n roll star.

Matt Bellamy is a musical genius, but hes a normal shy guy from Teignmouth.

Dave Grohl, everything he touches turns to musical gold.

There are so many since Kurt or who are going on since Kurt. It's a great romantic rock n roll story, that new batches of teenagers can empathise with but hes by no means the last great rock n roll star.

Kurt Cobain was troubled and talented but I don't think he was the last great rock star. He was special but I don't think he would have been so idolised if he hadn't died when he did.

typical dead rock-star icon. He wasn't anywhere near as good as people hold him up to be. Even in his life bands like Pearl Jam overshadowed Nirvana, but as soon as he tops himself - straight to rock god.

ok im a musician and i can say that all of his songs lack talent. he can make songs but his genre is known for making easy songs. so he is not a music genius. i doubt he even knew anything about music theory. and i could play any of his songs after 5 months on the guitar. he can make a riff and lyrics and thats about it for music.
