Desperately need help with a song!!

I went to the Blackpool Illuminations Switch-On this weekend and there was a music video playing before the show with a song I really liked. The video showed a blonde haired male singer wearing a trilby hat. On part of the video they looked like they were on a train, and some of the lyrics were something like 'No he's gone'.
There isn't much to go by, but anyone have any idea what the song is and who it's by?
