The first single was "Keep Yourself Alive". The first Hit (depending on your definition of hit) was "Killer Queen"
Wrong!

Their first UK hit was 'Seven Seas Of Rhye', which reached No.10 in the Spring of '74.

Yes - Delboy 3, Wikipedia does state that. Maybe Killer Queen was first US hit?
Delboy 3 - if you had read my answer then you would have seen that it said that it depends on your definition of what a hit is
My definition of a 'hit' is one which makes the charts.
Which charts - and what number do they have to reach?

If your definition of hit is one that makes the charts "Keep yourself alive" got to number 89 in the US charts and so is their first hit - using YOUR definition of hit !!!
Question Author
Hi Delboy3 and Tubeway - you two just battle it out!!

As for me, it will all depend on the quiz compiler's definition of "first hit".
How can number 89 in the charts be classified as a hit, regardless of which chart it is.
I don't see how a single that reached the top 10 can NOT be considered a hit. Hazlinny hasn't yet revealed the quiz compiler's answer but it should be Seven Seas of Rhye (I doubt a local quiz would take the US charts into consideration).
Seven Seas of Rhye March 1974
