when a album is released is a video produced for every song? or does it depend on how big the artist /group is?

It would be rare for a video to be produced for every song. For that to happen was more of a 1980s gimmick from when the home video market was just getting started, and a few albums had a complete video equivalent - the pioneer was Toni Basil's "Word of Mouth", and probably the most famous was Blondie's "Eat To The Beat".
I remember there being a bit of a fuss made over Super Furry Animals making a video for every track on their Rings Around The World album, but as jenstar says, it is rare. Video promos aren't cheap, and as most music TV stations wouldn't dare do anything as adventurous as play a track that wasn't going to be a single, it would largely be a waste of both time and money.
I thought that they only made videos for the songs that they would release! Youn dont get every song on an album released do you so it is probably for those ones only!
