I have Rob Dougan's 'Furious Angels' on CD. I have copied this onto my computer (where it seems to sit and not let me play........) and it is impossible to transfer across onto my MP3 player.

Am I doing something wrong ? If so what ?

All help grovelingly accepted.

Thanks

How did you 'copy' it onto your computer?

I put it in the CD-Rom drawer and 'ripped' it onto Hard-drive. It comes up with all relevant details and album cover, etc. but I don't seem to be able to do anything with it.

Can only listen to it if I play disc itself.
I guess you're using Media Player.
Could be doing some annoying DRM style cr@p with it.

Try using some other software to rip the CD.

Exact Audio Copy or CDex work just fine for me.
In fact I used EAC to rip my copy of Furious Angels.

I'm sure that your answer makes sense...........

You are correct in stating that I'm using Windows Media Player........

I'm not terribly techno-proficient, I'm afraid.........I'll see if I can follow your advice.

Thanks
