I bought 2 DVD box sets on e-bay, then found out - too late - that they were Region 1 discs. Question,How can I either modify the codes on my player or do I need to buy a new player that has no Region restriction.
Thanks in advance.

Hi Merlinpe

Try this link and see if you're dvd player is listed ....may have hack code near it........otherwise take to a specialist dvd/tv shop...they can do a soldering hack for around 15 usually.
Ring and get prices first as some charge a lot more!

Good luck

I played mine when I did the same through the computer and it was fine
If you google:
Hack code (followed by the make and model of your DVD player)
you'll find loads of sites with instructions to change your player to multi-regional
you can always play the dvds on ur computer or laptop and they will work regardless of region
