Gig, a multi- pronged spear similar to a trident. Club, a heavy stick with a thick end, used as a weapon. Cool, about time we had a Melee Weapons Section on here.

It's been there for ages, JJ, but the tired old fogies like me don't do a great deal of clubbing these days, so we've waiting for swinging, hip youngsters like you, (who enjoy the music of modern beat combos, as I believe that they're called these days) to enlighten us about this new rock-&-roll craze that we keep hearing about ;-)

JJ - just seen this. I shouldn`t say but anyway.. Years ago when that album was released (I think it was in the late 80s) I was in Berlin. In those days Berlin was still a little bit decadent. It was before the wall came down I think. So my female colleague and I were taken to a bar by our male colleagues. When we got there this bar was populated by British servicemen (mainly Army) and apart from the strippers that worked there, we were the only two females in the place. When we walked into the place, all of the Squaddies said "Hello girls". Anyway, me being no shrinking violet, I was not bothered. So we sat down and a floor show commenced which involved strippers sticking chocolates up their nether regions and using their pelvic muscles to fire them out so that the squaddies could eat them. Then the strippers picked on a man in the audience so that he could join them in the communal pool that they had. Needless to say, we bribed them to choose our colleage who was a bit green about the gills. The best thing about that night was that So by Peter Gabriel was showing on the TV (in between the porn films) and when I got back to London the first thing I did was buy that CD. It`s still a fantastic album. I think I have had a very sheltered life.
