it was a serious question knobb.
Question Author
roger waters was in pink floyd you nonuts shirly you must have heard of them one of the greatest bands of all time apart from led zepplin and black sabboth (scuse spelling) of course.
How many bricks in the wall do you need
Question Author
Sorry fine, have taken me tablets now and they have calmed me down and the hypnotearpy is not working
Knobby I am curious to hear for myself how DSotM sounds without the rest of Floyd playing. You said that RW was brilliant playing it a Hyde Park though, so I know I am in for a great night anyhow.

McFluff, if you can get there after work you really should go if knobby's ticket is still available. These opportunities don't come up too often.
oops, AT Hyde Park I meant!
Question Author
trust me aprilis you are in for a really good night if the acousticks (cant spell that but you know what I mean) at hyde park sound that well in the open air omg what are they going to sound like in earls court fanastabalittle or wat (just made that word up by the way) saw the floyd many moons ago at earls court doing the wall and when they opened the concert up all you could see was a great big wall on stage and gradgually one by one the paper bricks were taken out of the wall untill you could see the floyd.
And we met trever mcdonut on the way out (he used to be a news reader dinna he)
I saw The Wall on video knobby and it was cr@p, yet my Dad and a few friends saw it live and thought it was fantastic. Recordings never do a live concert justice do they; they just can't recreate the same atmosphere (or acoustics, lol!).

Having said that though, I have the last live performance of WOTW on special edition DVD and played loud through the home cinema surround sound it is fab. It does give you a sense of the atmosphere in as much as a recording can.

"One of the highlights of the show, thanks to the amazing use of digital technology,is the live performance of Richard Burton. Brought back to life in the form of a ten foot high, 3D sculpted head that hovers over the stage, Richard is seen and heard re-creating his original role as George Herbert, the journalist"

The bloke who plays Nathaniel (Alexis James) is just as good as David Essex was and Justin Hayward performs his original part as does Chris Thompson. Nathaniel is played by Russell Watson and Jeff Wayne's daughter is Carrie, the journalist's fiancee. Among the effects, a 30ft martian fighting machine descends on the auditorium firing 'heat rays' at the audience.

I know it's gonna be AAAWSOME and I am sooo excited!

If you get a chance to obtain tickets knobby don't hesitate. For a WOTW fan it's not to be missed.
