Saw the last half of the Kasabian Club foot video. What is it based on and where is it set. There is at the end a dedication to someone called Jan Palach 1948-1968. Who was this person?

the video was set at an abandoned russian checkpont in budapest (which is by the way the capital of my homecountry :) ) my parents explained me the meaning of "szabad europa r�dio" translated "free europe radio", which was forbidden in some parts of hungary and romania, nevertheless lots of people were listening to it,  there is also a reference to the ex-dictator of romania, ceausescu.. but i still don�t get the connection to jan palach. (nor did the members of kasabian, they didn�t even know who this person was, don�t know if this information is right?? )
