I was watching this earlier and the announcer said, "and now Coronation Street featuring gun violence". I thought, "Jeez, times sure have changed since Mavis Riley and Hilda Ogden left!"

We love characters like jim
As for it being far fetched it's called a willing suspension of disbelief and if I wanted to hear tales of the rising cost of petrol I wouldn't need to watch it on tv
On another matter I suspect (hope) roys mother could be the next Blanche
