antony and the johnsons, are they any good? they had a good review in the telegraph (for 'i am a bird now') and my fav singer likes them.  before i buy the cd i'd like to hear other peoples reviews. ta

I can thoroughly recommend him ('AATJ' is him, not a band), though suggest hearing some first as it is an acquired taste - a sort of vibrato falsetto voice.

I prefer his eponymous last album, but I Am A Bird is still top notch.

thanks srd.  my favourite singer is marc almond and he says the cd is 'brilliant'.  they hope to record together in the future.

id say the songs ive heard are ok too i can see what people love about them but it depends what taste you have really doesnt it!
