Just heard on Cerys Matthew's radio prog that today is the 100th anniversary of RJ's birthday. Apparently Huey Morgan's prog(13:00-16:00) on BBC 6 Music will be featuring him a lot.

I wanted the complete works of Robert Johnson on vinyl. I paid an absolute fortune on ebay, as I had to get it from America. It was well worth it though.

Cowtipper - if you re-read my post, you will note that i had only heard about Robert Johnson, i had not heard his music.

Obviously, from his voice it is apparent that RJ is black, but if you;re going on a few facts about a blues musician poisoned by a jealous girlfriend - which is all the info I had as a teenager - then it's reasonable to construct a personna as i did - which is well wide of the mark.

Sorry 'bout that. I was massively amused. I used to do telephone support and when I met people my impressions of what they would look like never matched what I thought they would. I have some impressions of what people would look like here and I'd be willing to bet I've got all of them wrong.

Cowtipper - apologies, I may have come across as rather more miffed than I was - which is not at all - the perils of written communication.

I entirely agree about voices compared to faces - I have enjoyed that dichotomy myself, having dealt with a young lady almost daily by phone, who thought from my voice that i looked like Clive Owen! one of my collleagues burst her bubble when I was off one day, confirming that |i resemble Woody Allen rather more!!!
