Glastonbury mudbath
Just seen the pictures, I wouldn't go there if you paid me! Yes I am old and I wouldnt have gone when I was a teenager either. Cannot see the pleasure in it at all. Give me proper facilities and comfort any day.

There are plenty of small festivals in my area these days and I can see U2 and others at other venues. I`d be scared to leave my tent in case someone nicked something. I`d never get any sleep because of everyone partying and if I got soaking wet I wouldn`t be able to dry out because I`d be staying in a tent. At best I`d go just for one day and leave that evening. I`m sure it`s great but it`s not my cup of tea. The thing that amazes me most is that some people love the mud and mess about in it. The rest of the year that field is a farm and they`re rolling around in mud, cow dung and cow`s urine. Lovely!
I went to the Live8 concert. It`s a very fine line between drinking enough water to hydrate but not so much that you want to go to the loo. I managed to do the day without using the loo. The problem is that you have to get past so many people to get to the loos it takes an age and it`s really hard to find your way back again (unless you`ve got someone near you with a big flag or something). There`s never any soap in the loos either. Peeing in the bushes is probably the easiest (if you`re a bloke, anyway)
