I have no idea what it is called or how it goes, but it is a song from quite a while ago could be 60's 70's or 80's, they played it on Video Hits (Australia) a few times over the last few years as a hit from the past, the chorus is sung by a woman and its quite repetitive, and its all in a foreign language (group is from a european country i think), and it is extremely catchy, i think it was a big hit in the UK back in its time.

If anyone knows what song this description sounds like (sorry about the lame description) i would be very thankful. its been killing me!!

You'll need to give more info that that - "it's a pop song from somewhere in a thirty year period".

What genre? What did the band look like? What's an approximation of the lyric?

Could it be "Yeke Yeke" by Morey Cantey (definately not spelled right !)
That was in the 80s by the way!!
Might it be "99 Red Balloons" by Nena? The German-language version was released pretty much over the place too. That was the 80s.
