Any ELO nuts on here ? Does anyone know what they're up to these days ? Obviously there was the tragic death of Kelly Groucutt a few years ago but i'd love to know what they're up to.

Got everything they ever did or wrote....i still read Bev's 'ELO story' every so often but never saw them in their hayday with the magnificent 7 line up but saw the first gig they ever did as ELO part 2 at the Brighton centre.

Sadly, cellist, Mike Edwards died in September last year. He was crushed by a bale of hay on the A381 in Halwell, Devon.

Yeah saw that...he actually walked out on ELO to become a postman back in the early 70's to be replaced by Mik Kaminski. Apparently, according to Bev Bevan's book, he couldn't stand the pressure.

I like the early stuff quite a lot, and have the remasters up to and including Discovery. Bev Bevan has got to be the luckiest drummer in rock music, though, with the possible exception of Nick Mason...

I used to live next door to Bill Hunt's mother. When he was growing up we used to hear him practicing the piano, and on rare occasions the horn. My mum wanted me to play the piano.....no chance said I - I wish I had now!

Mr Blue Sky was the first single I ever bought, way back when.
Still a big fan, even my son became hooked when they used the track on the animated Magic Roundabout!

Fave track? Probably Standing In The Rain.

It would be great if they reformed for a tour as I loved them in the mid-late 70s but never saw them live.

Many, many years ago hubby bought me the LP "Out of the Blue" on blue vinyl as a Christmas present. Unfortunately it was not the present I wanted so I sulked, put it on the shelf and it is still there. Never been played.

I have the album "Time" - love it, the songs flow really nicely, the intro is fantastically dramatic "Just on the border of your waking mind, there lies another time, where darkness and light are one. And as you tread the halls of sanity, you feel so glad to be unable to go beyond. I have a message from another time...." great stuff.
