What 'is' it all about? What's the 'C' about? I just had this nostalgic urge to play it .. but I don't understand the lyrics! This image of Paul reminds me so much of my brother at the time .. looks .. hair .. everything.

I remember the line "was that the intro etc..." so I'm not sure why Wiki says they need a citation for that, it's there on the album!

The citation is needed for the assertion that Paul sometimes replaces the intro line with other words shouted in Jamaican (including "Rastafari").

McCartney explained the song title is said to be the opposite of the '60s expression "L-7" meaning a square or unhip person. A C moon forms a cirle, which is said to 'Cool'. McCartney heard the expression in the song 'Woolly Bully' (sam sham & the pharaohs), where they sing 'Lets not be L-7 come and learn to dance.
