I have just bought a mini ipod and am having some teething troubles. How do I get the tracks from the itunes programme onto the actual ipod? Sorry if this is a dumb question but i have managed it (probably by accident) with one album but none since. It's driving me mad. Anybody kind enough to help please answer in non PC expert language. Thank you in advance.

I think i can shed some light! well you need to connect them both up and then click on what you want to transfer after that it will just tell you but DON'T  go disconnecting your i-pod as that will wipe them off ok! i have had this trouble lol ur i-pod will tell you when you can dissconect ok bye hope this helps xxx
Dont want to sound patronising here, but you will have a got a cd with the ipod that contains iTunes. If that is loaded OK, and you open this program choose MyLibrary, and this will show you all the tracks you have to upload. Then Ive found that as soon as I connect the USB port to the ipod, it updates automatically. Keep an eye in that wide slot at the top that usually has an apple in it and it will tell you the status and also when to disconnect. The thing I found bad is the fact that you cant upload them then delete them off your own pc or else it removes them from the ipod next time you connect. Heaven help the people who buy a 60G ipod and need to keep THAT library on their pc. Hope this helps.
SteveH - it's possible to turn off the auto synchronise feature - i'm not sure how (because i don't have an iPod!), but it's definitely possible - i was playing around with my mates iPod at the weekend and it didn't delete stuff of the iPod or the PC when it connected.
If you turn the autosync function off (allowing you to then manually add and delete tracks off the ipod), you can go to the library: press ctrl & A to select all tracks: click and drag them all over the ipod icon on the left and they will transfer. You can them delete them from the library. I have 30gig of tunes on an ipod and none saved on my pc. If I had autsync on however, the ipod would empty when I connected it so I never use that function!
