Being windows media player loves its own format WMA I would not be suprised it is giving you a head ache because of that.

However here is what I think you need to do...
Firstly find your windows MY Music folder,
Secondly plug in your mp3 player via the usb ports,
now windows will reconise you pluged something in, go to my computer, and find the removeable media in my computer, explore the media with the right click, you should then be able to drag and drop all the files to your lesiure.

You will probably have to rename them.

After wards you can get wm to scan the folder, its  a lenghty process, but wm hates mp3's pretty much.

Hope this helps

I had a similar kind of problem with a MP3 player. I ended up going onto the Microsoft website, making a list of compatable MP3 players and taking my already purchased one back (the shop never argued, when I said that it wasn't compatable with windows and the directions that came with it was rubbish!!) . If my memory is good I think Microsoft call it "play for sure".
