Franki valli cd

Should ahve got this sorted weeks ago, i need to get a frankie valli cd for a christmas present but as ive no idea of who he is im unsure which cd to get, should i get a greatest hits/best of or just a normal album.

Do you want him as a solo artist or is a Four Seasons one better.
There are several excellent compilations. I also liked The Jersey boys soundtrack album

You need a Frankie Vali And the Four Seasons Greatest Hits collection - will cover all bases.

Vali was singer for The Four Seasons, and a solo artist - the FS's continued after he left, and both had parallel careers.

Good point, andy-hughes- Frankie Valli also had a few excellent solo recordings. I don't know his albums but I recall some wonderful singles- My Eyes Adored You and Fallen Angel, for example

If you can get a definitive Four Seasons and Frankie Valli solo hits compilation you're doing well. As he went solo and signed to Private Stock then major labels are reluctant to package those together so you end up having to buy 2 Greatest Hits instead. My view is buy the complete Four Seasons collection with all the UK and US hits on topped up with some late 60s and early 70s N Soul tracks ( check out 'I'm Gonna Change' ) I have a double CD with around 40 tracks on. The solo stuff is alright but he only had 5 hits so not really worth it unless you're a completist and want everything like me!
