The Game, Zaboocan Hixxy / Rave Scene (Criminal Justice and Public Order Act)
Hi everyone,
Im working on a 'Club Music' module as part of my music degree course and have a couple of questions for anyone who may be a fan of the rave scene nowadays or had been part of it in the early 90s.
First of all...does anybody know where the words of Hixxy's 'The Game, Zaboocan' came from? I'm thinking something along the lines of the Criminal Justice and Public Order Act or something similar.
Also, I'm looking for any information that you may think relevant to the scene in the 90s. Perhaps some footage of raves, personal views (whether good or bad), accounts, any comparisons between the subculture now and then or anything else that may contribute to my overall understanding of the movement.
I find the whole thing totally compelling so any feedback would be greatly appreciated :)
Thanks
Tash

It sort of grew out of the Acid House scene in the late 80s and swiftly divided into various sub cultures: Garage, Techno, Hard House, Happy House, Jungle etc. to name but a few.
If you can be a bit more specific in what you want to know I will be happy to help if I can.
