Boeuf Bourgignon
friends coming for dinner. Gefilte fish balls with egg and lemon sauce and beetroot/horseradish sauce, served with rye bread. Followed by Jamie Oliver Turkey Wellington, new potatoes, chantenay carrots and broccoli then choc mousse for dessert.
have done a home made lasagne[ fresh lasagne sheets from the deli] and made the sauces [ a different one for each layer] myself, topped with sliced tomatoes and already to go in the oven.
Green Thai Chicken with green peppers, mange tout and jasmine rice,
then possibly a double choc and chip muffin, warm, with lashings of
CREME....mmmmmm...
Salmon en croute , bubble and squeak cakes and peas.
(All except the peas from M&S, so just bung them in the oven.)

What lovely sounding menus. I am plotting to relieve B00 of a few meatballs...
Chokkie are those like fish meatballs? If so have you got a recipe for them?
I don't know what i'm having for dinner but all that talk of soup on the chicken soup thread has me wanting a thick hearty soup or stew.

I do have a nice vino, Zhu. A very nice Spanish red.
slices of German salami on pumpernickel and a cup of Yorkshire tea
3 pints of Holt's bitter and whatever's in the fridge
Some organic chicken pieces with Jamie Oliver's Piri Piri crumb on it - oven baked and a cluster of real onion rings on the side, perhaps some salad too, and a glass of locely crisp dry white....

1. walk into town

2. order curry

3. go to pub for quick G&T (or two)

4. collect curry

5. watch DVD
*Ears prick up* - forget the wine..did someone mention Holts Bitter?...Joseph Holts..?..now yer talkin"!! :-)
