now im sure its just my age but how can you have a favourite club dj when all they do is play other peoples records ? wheres the talent there ? 

i like fatboy slims own recorded material palookaville etc etc but as a dj he just plays records !

Well Mattk its quite easy to have a favourite Club Dj if you are into your Dance music. Yes you are right that they do play (most of the time) other peoples records but it is the whole way that they do this that makes them either average or outstanding. They have to find the right tunes and try to put them in some sort of order that will then form a great set, plus if you have ever tried mixing it aint easy especially when you have someone like Digweed/Sasha who will overlay mixes for minutes at a time which is bloomin tricky to do. You may want to check out some of the club Dj's that have been listed they all have their own distinct sound and techniques. Its a common misconception that it is easy and anyone can do it, its not!
