I hear he's our entry for Eurovision! What a laugh - we obviously don't want to win! I think we should stop entering this silly contest.

I thought it was an early April fools joke
We really don't want to win do we?
You are joking?
Just seen it on TV Ratter, so sadly not!

:o(
voting is largely politically based, I can imagine in light of the euro ect that we will do worse than ever this year.

I think the bbc fund a large amount of eurovision. makes you wonder why we bother!
Maybe the other countries will think they are voting for Germany ? Personally I dont mind I always thought opera was a load of old tosca
On May 2nd he will be 76...

Who's idea was that? he's had his day lets have a youngster for Gods sake'

jem
Meh, you never know!

We've had young "trendy" singers competing for us in the past, they've done nowt, so maybe time for a professional to have a whack at it?
He was a great singist in his day,........but,
his day was a long time ago.
Already a thread earlier on this

At least he knows how to sing a song properly & it seems we've all heard of him.

Up-and-coming young singers? No better than 5th position in 10 years & without Googling, I'd challenge that you'd struggle to say what most of the recent entrants are up to now.

Doesnt really matter who we put in we will never ever win. The Eastern Europeans make sure of that. Complete waste of time and money.
Englebert Rocks....

Quando Quando Quando?
Englebert beautiful voice. sell out concerts worldwide, why would he want to put himself through Eurovision. All political voting, Ireland putting Jedward on again, obviously don't want to win.
I know he has millions of fans, but I really think this is stupid. God help us all if he sings one of those awful sloppy ballads. Should say he was popular in my time, but I was never a fan. Cant bear to think of that awful last dance and release me songs. Just my opinion.
He must be pushing 70 ( will we have Bruce Forsyth next year ?)
Make that pushing 80, just Googled it he is 76 next birthday.
Anyone have a link to him singing in recent years? I can only imagine him from the past and I'am curious to know what he sounds like now.

I guess we'll find out soon enough won't we? Endlessly!

How low can we stoop before we finally decide to pull out of this rediculous contest?
