Following on from the 'Oh Gawd' thread which mentioned Jethro Tull, there are bands that simnply don;t resonate, you ever understand why people like them, and you really can't understand their appeal, and you certainly would never buy one of their albums. Here is my list, off the top of my head -
1. Jethro Tull
2. Blur
3. Rush
4. Frank Sinatra
5. Neil Diamond
6. Florence And The Machine
7. Radiohead
8. Paul Weller
9. Elbow
10. The Smiths

I think, for instance, Coldplay are now a monotone, by the numbers band but I have there first 3 albums??
Florence and the Machine liked them when I first heard them but shes a one album girl and it is just boring now.
I like diversity, but if you don't like who I like, who am I to argue. Taste is taste and never the twain shall meet, thankfully.
But Ray Davies is a musical genius :-)

Sipowicz - not done it yet - the magazine i was doing it for ' Guitar Buyer - has ceased publication, so i am franticaly trying to find a new guitar mag taking freelances.
as the market shrinks, and mags go under, there is always more work than writers, so we are all after the same berths in publishing. I keep my hopes up though - will let you know.
