Is it just me, or is the televised coverage of Glastonbury and the Isle Of Wight festival virtually interchangeable? By that I mean that both are utterly ruined by the most inane commentators/presenters who, if brains were dynamite, wouldn't have enough to fart?

Fearne is just one of many intellectual non-entities populating the festival circuit. Zane?
the classic example of inane music coverage by the BBC is still live 8 - when live coverage of REM's set was interrupted mid-song so that some intellectually challenged non-entity could interview that great-I-am idiot from razorlight, johnny borrell. unbelievable.

I was watching Glasto a few years back and some female presenter, (can't remember who because I've probably subconsciously blanked it from my mind) was "interviewing" Primal Scream, and boy did I want to scream? Now I'm no lover of PS, but I felt for them that night as they had just come off stage to be met with "Wow, that was like, amazing, wow, like brilliant, like just fantastic". after gushing some more they were asked "What's your favourite colour?" Bobby had a look on his face that said it all.
most amazing opening interview question ever?

that's got to be Donna Air's interview with The Corrs - "so, how did you guys meet?"
Question Author
Quite!

When did Donna drop the "Head" part of her surname?
Is there coverage for the IOW festival? I wish I was there!! :(

Zane Low? What's wrong with him?!

Nothing that a bullet couldn't fix?

He is a rambling, egotistical clown who gets in the way of the music. Chuck in the fact he is semi-literate and stops to the level of his dreadful female co-presenter. They really do pander to the lowest common denomenator.
Oh well... I like Zane...
Question Author
.............I meant "Stoops", and IOW is on Sky Arts erin. Once you see the weather I'll bet you won't wish you were there. Thought about going but opted for Pearl Jam in Manchester instead.
Thanks! :)

You're so lucky.. I love Pearl Jam! Eddie Vedder is amazing!! XD
Question Author
The IOW headliner acts were good but the rest of the bill wasn't quite so attractive, (to me), plus it is difficult to get there from Scotland, so I passed. I prefer a fly in, fly out type venue when I'm gig going, (like High Voltage in London's Victoria Park), so Mancxhester was perfect for Pearl Jam. They were, as always, amazing, and the Vedder boy's voice gets better and better. Two hours fifteen minutes of sheer magic!

Am going to see the Foos in Belfast in August - I guess you'll be jealous?
You're kidding?! I'm going too! haha!
Question Author
Pint in Belfast? You're buying ;-)
i saw the foos in MK last summer, on the saturday, and some work colleagues went to the sunday show. they were full of anticipation when i told them saturday's special guest was alice cooper, but were somewhat deflated when they discovered their special guest was seasick steve.
(although for me, either would have been great...)

I had to pick the night in Manchester that Pearl Jam didn't play "Rockin' in the Free World", didn't I?

Oh well, they were still superb.
