Hi, 'thenry' .. at least your post at 02.07h approached it sensibly , I think you have to be more specific in makiing comparisons. With an 'electric guitar' Knopler , Clapton & Paul...clearly great. but with a 'classical or flamenco' they are insignificant compared with Segovia or Manitas de Plata..
who would be 'lost' with the 'electric guitar', and like most things in life.... the best is all subjective . But it's worth asking the question to see how we all differ.!!

Coming back again to this question in the evening (....yeah , I've had my fill of Olympics for the day too ...) I notice that the rock fans have gone for their favourites and the classic fans have gone for their favourites .
How's this for an interesting fusion of the two - Edgar Cruz's arrangement of Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody :_

Thanks for the great response ! I admit to being a Hendrix fan. I particularly like his version of All Along The Watchtower. I also like Narcisso Yepes and his version of Concierto D'Aranjuez. Or conshirto d'orange juice as Pete Postlethwaite once postulated. Love the music ! (Back to the Olympics - Jessica !)
