I've been subscribed to this website now for about six months. Previous to that, I used www.mp3search.ru (another Russian mp3 site).
As far as I can make out, it's completely legal. The material on the site is made available for download and is licenced by the Russian Multimedia and Internet Society.
Furthermore, there was an article on the BBC's website recently which confirmed that these sites are legal (I tried looking for the article, but I couldn't find it).
I know it sounds too good to be true, because the mp3s are so cheap. However, this is no Napster or WinMX. It all seems completely on the level.
