were any of you interested in the electric light orchestra?
my tastes have always been easy listening and motion picture soundtracks however, there was something about ELO that i found very entertaining - and i grew to love all their material.
there is a clutch of programmes about jeff lynne and ELO on bbc4 next friday night ... i have set my machine to record them.
wow thanks excelsior i have just set mine up to record as well...i just love e.l.o they were the best group never to have had a number 1 in the uk.. jeff lynnes music was incredible and is still as good today..i will never forget when i was 17 they were peforming at bingley hall, stafford and me and my friends had tickets to see them..and i was struck down with...
Yes, I loved them- I bought everything they did in the 70s. I regret not seeing them live. If they reformed (I know at least one has died) for a tour I'd want to go.
I'll record it

My fave was the Time album and my favourite track from that is Yours Truly 2095, if only for the line "She has an IQ of 1001 she has a jumpsuit on, and she's also a telephone."
some great songs there excelsior..my favourite ending to a song is ''across the border'' the way bev bevan plays the drums to end the song is fantastic..im just going to dig my ''out of the blue'' out now and have a listen lol...
I always liked ELO but had to keep it quiet because i was a punk rocker.
Kelly Groucutt the bass gitarist is the member who sadly passed away factor 30,in 2009,he lived just down the road from here and drank in our local.
A thoroughly nice chap.
