I really like Adele but that didn't instantly strike me as a great song.
I also don't watch Bond films but isn't there another Bond tune in there somewhere?
They've actually taken the time to listen to the older john barry bond and other material and as you say incorporate the bond essence, that brass riff is a killer, the trombones make it sound menacing
as a real fan of the bond tracks - i do want to say this.
the '97 film tomorrow never dies has the title track sung by sheryl crowe - however i think the ending track by k d lang is much better, and could easily have been the title track if they wanted it.

I have heard snippets of the Adele Bond theme (even radio 4 played 30 seconds ) and it sounds great to me- very atmospheric and it has that hint of diamonds are for ever. Great choice of singer, song and arrangement
