So what do we think of this for a Bond film, heard it this morning and I quite like it in spite of not being overly keen on Adele. It sounds very Bondesque.

Yes I heard this earlier in the week- it sounds really good to me and after about 30 seconds is reminiscent of Diamonds are Forever. Good choice of singer, song and arrangement. It probably sounds better in the cinema though than as a radio song

as the acknowledged bond freak - i think it's very good.
the last one was total rubbish .. this goes back to one artiste, and she does an admirable job, supported by a decent orchestra.
it is a return to proper bond music .. even has the main bond theme inserted in one or two places.

my verdict - - - top marks.

Built around chords Cm Ab F and G, chorus Cm Ab F D G, a G7su4 to G chucked in, a few passing notes, the old Bold theme , G Ab A thrown in played under the Cm and Bazinga ! a Bond song.
Have to go out but will transcribe it properley later
Simple enough song, but very effective.

I'm sure John Barry would have been impressed with this

I love it. It's not too overdone, which can be difficult for someone with such a powerful voice.

I think they are supposed to get a free rein with the song but this effort seems to be made with certain parameters set in place ....I'm disappointed.

It's alright. I'm a big fan of Adele, think she's brilliant. I would say this is not really one of her better songs and not likely to make it to my ipod. I agree that it's formulaic and just liking Adele's voice isn't enough for me not to find the whole thing a bit boring.

It is isn't it RR, shame cause I really want to like it because I a fan of Adele, I wish I had her voice.
