I have been watching the live video "Concert" I do not think he is actually singing everything is so perfect ,I did read that he was coming over to the UK to do some Gigs with QUEEN .Any thoughts .

A friend of mine, Cassie, has asked me to post this in her name since it seems she can't get the authorization code e-mailed to her:

"Adam is a highly trained, classically trained vocalist. There is NO falsetto in this video clip. He is able to sing in an ethereal, light head voice, but he doesn't use that in this either, except on the word "buy" on the A4. The rest is a light chest voice with lots of resonance and a blended chest/head voice for the powerful high notes.

Adam is vehemently opposed to lip-syncing in live performances. But, because he is so strong technically, and has such amazing resonance in his voice, many people seeing live performances assume it is "enhanced" with a heavy backing track of studio vocals and magic.

Adam's performances last summer with Queen were praised by even long time Queen fans who attended the concerts. Roger Taylor said he had a "one in 100 million voice." Check out the compilation of fan videos of his London performance of Who Wants To Live Forever. Queen never uses backing tracks. It's all Adam.

Whether you LIKE Adam's voice is a matter of personal taste and preference. But, trained vocalists around the world have attested to his amazing technique and performance ability. And now, adding my two cents, since I'm a fan of Adam too.

It has been said before, but Adam started out in musical theater. And you CAN'T lip sync in musical theater. ;-) He was part of the cast of Wicked, for example, which is a pretty big deal

The video I'm embedding is from Brigadoon. I think it displays his amazing talent pretty well. ;-) Look at the flawless technique, the gorgeous phrasing, the beautiful vibrato, the perfect control. There's a phrase which lasts around 22 seconds, and he never wavers in pitch or tone.

So yes, he sounds perfect in the Glam Nation DVD, and that's because he's amazingly good. ;-) Plus, he's one of those rare artists who actually sounds better live than in any recording. If you get the chance to see him live, don't hesitate. He's worth it.

I have to take issue with Taylor and May going out as 'Queen' - they are not Queen, they are two miusicians who used to be in Queen - less than three members is just not valid in any band, and in the case of a frontman as iconic as Mercury, trying to put someone else up there is just disrespectful.

I learned about Adam Lambert because I'm a long time Queen fan and I heard he was going to tour with them. I'm a huge, huge, huge Queen fan. I absolutely LOVE Freddie.

And yet I'm completely happy that Brian and Roger still keep the magic going.

Disrespectful would be to put a Freddie impersonator up there. THAT would be disrespectful. But to put an outstanding vocalist as the frontman, someone who can hit all the notes (and more) in Freddie's key, someone who can make justice to all the songs... I say, go for it!

I think the magic is the very thing that is so obviously absent from current incarnations of 'Queen' - and i speak as one who saw them as a support band in 1973!

But if it floats your boat, that's fine - we just see it differently.

But you should try it, you know. Everyone who went to see Queen + Adam Lambert left the place saying it had been one of the best concerts of their lives. That's a pretty big thing to say, considering many of them had seen the original Queen live.
