Glen Campbell

We are just sat watching a Glen Campbell concert - tapped it last week. He is absolutely brilliant - any other fans out there? He has just played the William he Tell overture with the London (I think) Philharmonic Orchestra. Such a shame that he is so poorly

I met him in 1973 and 1975 whilst he was over here in concert, great accent. His 'Grow Old With Me' is stunning.

he retired when he felt his altzheimers' wasgetting too bad minty

He has alzheimers and had to cancel much of his final tour last year

he has alzheimer's disease I believe. My old school friend has been a fan of his since she was 13 and she still adores him, (she's same age as me!)

The concert we are watching is 1977 what were we all doing then?

We went back stage at the concert and met him and I asked him if he knew Ray Stevens, that's at the second concert we went to when he had Carl Jackson in his backing band and they did duelling banjos

Brilliant documentary about GC on last night, which was an insight to a talented, yet troubled man.....some interesting revelations.... it's well worth a look :)

We watched that first yogi - as you say it was brilliant. He has just finished the concert playing Amazing Grace on the bagpipes - wonderful

I was ten when he reached the height of his fame - I never knew what a brilliant guitarist he was, during his "wrecking crew" days.
