Pipes And Drums

Although I'm not Scottish, I always well up inside when listening to the full entrance of the bagpipes and drums in Tattoo on Mike Oldfield's Tubular Bells 2 and I'm 'innocent' enough to believe that these are real pipes and not 'sampled' guitars. But can anyone recommend recordings of pipes and drums where I can get that same feeling? Ta Muchly.

I am Scottish but not a lover of the bagpipes. But the pipes at the start of the film Amazing grace are sorry amazing!

woodelf, there are any number of recordings of Pipe bands - depends if you want traditional - lone piper - or regimental pipes and drums?

My OH was in the Royal Scots Dragoon Guards and their pipes drums are fantastic and they have CDs out. I go weak at the knees when they play Highland Cathedral.
