Sad Day For Music
5 Answers
Rock and Blues guitarist Alvin Lee has passed away today. A great loss to the music world who (IMO) is indeed deserving of a mention.
RIP Alvin. Long may your music continue to bless the ears of fans everywhere.
A true legend.

One bit of trivia about their single Love like a Man from 1970.
I remember going into a record shop (do you remember them?) to buy the single Love Like a Man.
The man in the shop picked it up, and noticed it had the same song on the A and B side so thought it was a pressing mistake.
I pointed out the A side was to be played at 45rpm and the B side was to be played at 33 and a third RPM as it was a live version of the song.
He had never heard of a 45 rpm single with this strange setup so there and then ordered some more copies.
This was their only UK hit.
And the group played at Woodstock !!
