With such successful response to my second question at AB, I would like to know what one song makes you smile and cry at the same time?
For myself, my partner died in 2010 but whom I still miss and love, and Leona Lewis singing "The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face", makes me smile and cry at the same time.
It is almost like being at the oscars, with so many people to thank at once. I should perhaps add another song which can make you smile and cry at the same time: "Goodbye's The Saddest Word", I believe sung by Celine Dion.
Thankyou wyedyed. Blubbed as usual.
My son turned down a place at Sandhurst for which I will be ever grateful. No, I did not comment on it to him before he made his decision.
Gypsy by Fleetwood Mac and Up Where We Belong by Joe Cocker & Jennifer Warnes. Both songs have me blubbing like a baby, for reasons best kept to myself
I cvhose shoota's as I have never heard it before, and it was quite moving. Well done to everyone, though: you all deserve the award, or a badge. Thanks.
I have played this song for various friends, and have never yet failed to see tears by the time it finished.
Harvey Andrews is from Stoke, and he supported prog rock band Focus when they played at the Victoria Hall in Stoke. When he finsihed this song, there was not a dry eye in the hall!
He came back with Focus the following year, and this time. people started to cry as the song began.
