My Mum moved from Newcastle to Canada when she was a little girl. She recently found a tape... yes they still exist... with the Newcastle town song on it but you could barely make out the words. Does anyody know where I could find it on MP3? I think it is called Bladen Races... which I probably spelt wrong. (I want this to be hush hush because I want to use it as part of a gift or I would ask her how to spell it)

This is very interesting. I just found out today that my Great Grandfather wrote that song! I too would love to find the lyrics now.
All I have been told about it is was sung when miners walked from Newcastle to London when they had no work. I know this is an old post here. But if anyone has found the lyrics I would be most interested!!!
