Very sorry to read this - always loved her smashing voice. Very sad.
Oh I didn't know that, how sad - this track with Aaron Neville is heart busting (for me)

She was quite the looker when she was younger. Let's hope they find a cure for this horrible disease one day.
She hasn't looked well for several years now and this is such a shame.
Although I'd been aware of her I didn't take much notice until she recorded the Trio album with Emmy Lou Harris and Dolly Parton.
At least we have her recordings to remind us.
OhDear! I shouldn't have played that clip, now its left me in tears.

Sad news indeed.

Oh that's terrible, and I loved Linda's voice...my brother had Parkinson's, it's a horrible, cruel, long drawn out disease.
That is really sad news.

Her albums Hasten Down The Wind and Prisoner In Disguise were never off my turntable in the 1970's, the passion and emotion in her vocals, and Andrew Gold's harmonies and arrangements got me through some tough times.
