Who played the theme of Chariots of Fire - I think it was composed by Vangelis but was it played by him as well?

Sorry Mattk I did not realise we were counting. 

I have ammended the number of stars but have to say I am now a tad confused.  I think it is fair to say that 99% of respondants answer the question posed in one way or another - I leave the 1% for posts such as yours - that being the case then 99% of respondants, by your reckoning, should receive three stars.  I know which respondants I would give the one star to but tell me - who then - would get two stars?

I came upon this qustion while looking for something else.I think he played it, but I was told it was based on   an old Scottish folk song. Sorry for being so long winded ....
