Have We Got The Feel Right?

Hoping for some good constructive feedback here.
My band usually concentrates on covers of classic funk, disco, soul & motown material, but (despite our name - LeFunk!) we're trying to broaden the genres we cover, to satisfy a wider audience. Sticking to what we know is great when it comes to private gigs like weddings & birthdays, but we often have to do pub/club gigs to make initial contact with potential clients for these private functions.
Pubs and clubs frequently want rockier stuff and we're happy to incorporate that, but at weddings especially there will be older people who want something they recognise from way back, so we decided to try a classic swing number - Moondance. We've based it on the Michael Buble version (albeit with female lead) and I keep telling myself it sounds really good. But the reason I say that is I was terribly nervous about playing a swing bass line because it really isn't me, so my view of it now is based on me just being relieved that the bass doesn't sound as bad as I thought it would.
Could I ask AB-ers with a musical bent to take a listen and let me know if, overall, we've got the feel right?

Hey Pixie - a girl (or man; let's just say person) after my own heart. Me too! The band is a little surprised that my own musical tastes are centred on bands like Deaf Havana, Sugarcult, NHOI, Jupiter One etc etc, which is why I was so nervous about playing something so far outside my comfort zone. Thankfully Dave's an amazing guitarist who seems to effortlessly make me sound good... somehow (I don't know how that works!).
Delighted that the responses have been this good so far. Didn't expect it.

Firstly, let me say that I absolutely loathe Van Morrison, especially that song! That said, you play it really well. You have one problem, though - your singer is dreadful. Off pitch for the most part, no phrasing to speak of, and very little quality to her voice.

Tight band anax. You really needn't be afraid of that style of bass. You drive the band very well.
Is that a full horn section or synth?

It was Laura's first run-through and tbh I think the pitch is too low. The last note of each verse line (eg the 'dance' of 'moondance' will be better if she sticks to the 'moon' note as that stays within the chord.

If you go to lefunk.co.uk there are 5 sample choons. All of them were recorded 2-3 years ago and represent what was a much smaller set list at the time (it's roughly doubled since then). We've got another 5 or so demos in progress but they're on (fairly temporary) hold at the moment as we've just taken on our new vocalist - won't finish the demos until she's 100% settled into our material.

I can declare an interest here - because I write for 'Bass Guitar Magazine' and 'Drummer Magazine' so -

congratulations! You have some really nice bass lines going there, the guitar and synth are tasteful, and, remarkable for a vast majority of semi-pro bands - your drummer can keep proper time! I know you'd think that would be obvious, but you'd be amazed how hard it is to find drummers who can provide good accurate time - hope that's not programmed as well!!!

As you are aware, the key is to low for your vocalist to work comfortably, but if you up it a couple of notches, I am sure she will sound much more comfortable.

If I had a wedding, I'd book your band.
