There's an unwritten rule at that bar that, every now and then, you buy Pete a pint. Visitors think he's some loony dropout making a nuisance of himself. But, in fact, he's a lovely old guy who enjoys music, and he's part of the scenery down on the front. He will stand there doing that hand dancing literally all day. So, every now and then, it's good form to stop a waitress and tell her to get one in for Pete.
